“Understanding Indices” Graphics For World Savings
A five-minute, graphics intensive project explaining some of the finer points of home mortgage rates.
The project started before the shoot, when I developed the virtual set and the look of the piece. All of the narrator shots were bluescreen. I then generated the accurate graphs in illustrator from tables of data for the explanations. Maya artist Emmett Feldman helped with some of the 3D elements, but others (including the passbook animation) were done by me in After Effects.
I think the project really succeeds as a teaching tool, and the client was happy to have such a painless way to get loan reps up to speed quickly on the complex subject matter. Produced, edited and directed by Michelle Baughan.
