PG&E “Flight of the CFLs”

I edited and animated this 90-second viral at Mekanism in San Francisco. Troy Kooper’s concept and illustrations of Brooklyn artist Aleks Sennwald that really make this project memorable. Especially in regards to the drawings, when you get handed such good material to begin with, its hard to go wrong.
An array of winged heroes embark on a dreamlike journey past mythical sea creatures, and finally, off into the sunrise. The intent is to promote the long life of compact fluorescent light bulbs, which last 10 times longer and use much less energy than their incandescent brothers who fall along the way.
